Episode 2 was recorded live on February 12, 2022 in the Flamingo Lounge

Crowned Buffalo’s First Lady of Rock and inducted into the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame in 2010, Jessie Galante has enjoyed a very successful career that began early. With her first band, “Actor,” Jessie quickly became the number one female singer in the region, fueled by her first recording with them, “Checkin’ Out.”

She is a prolific recording artist with a dedicated following in both the U.S. and Europe. A charismatic and dynamic performer, Jessie Galante was simply meant to be on stage and in the spotlight.

Note from Rockabilly Greg: The inspiration for the “In the Flamingo Lounge” podcast came from Jessie in November, 2021. Jessie and I were in the Flamingo Lounge (my basement) working on graphics for her Christmas Rocks Concert with the Musicians of Buffalo (Jessie, Bobby Lebel and Billy Sheehan). We were working on graphics for the show and talking about local music history when she looked at my said something along the lines of “you are very passionate about local history. You should do a podcast about it.” And here we are!
