The ever-fabulous, Ms. Kerrykate Abel, longtime performer on area stages and Buffalo’s Queen of Cabaret, joined Rockabilly Greg “In the Flamingo Lounge” on Saturday, May 7, 2022, for a laugh-filled, but tender and poignant session about life and music.

Ms. Abel, was the producer of Buffalo United Artists’ Cabaret Series from 2009-2012, a fellow of the O’Neill Cabaret Symposium (Waterford, CT); has performed across the country in both cabaret and theatre; and, locally, has an unmatched passion and talent for cabaret performance. She holds an MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts with a performance creation concentration from Goddard College, which sparked her interest in continuing her education to complete more degrees! She is also a playwright, award winning actress, writer, activist and educator. In addition to her artistic creation and performance pursuits, Kerrykate is the founder of the TEMPLE OF THE DIVINE BROAD which uses movement, music, community engagement, meditation, and education to help people to embrace and evolve their authenticity. She is looking forward to some very exciting projects in the Fall of 2022 with the Brazen Faced Varlets, as well as the completion and production of WOMAN OF A CERTAIN RAGE, a cabaret that has been 3 years in the making, to celebrate her 50th birthday in the Spring of 2023.
