Veteran Buffalo musicians and Buffalo Music Hall of Fame Inductees, Nick Veltri and Sam Guarino joined Rockabilly Greg “In the Flamingo Lounge” on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 to talk about their music careers.

Most musicians in Buffalo agree that the most solid wall-of-sound bass player in Western New York is Nick Veltri. Years with Big Wheelie & the Hubcaps, the Buffalo Blues Band and Stan & the Ravens, along with Billy McEwen & the Soul Invaders and Barbara St Clair & the Shadows have given him a sound others try to imitate. Nick Veltri was inducted into the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame for his bass playing in 1994 and is also a Past President. You can find a full bio on Nick at BMHOF.org.
Band Leader, Musician, and Singer – Sam Guarino was the driving force behind legendary local band National Trust which had a following all over the East Coast. Sam’s musical magic was part of Big Wheelie and the Hub Caps as well as a member of Stan and the Ravens. Sam was inducted in the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame in 2011.
Nick and Sam can be seen throughout the year at their seasonal R&B Soul Review and Diva Shows. To find out when you can catch them at the next Show, follow Sam on Facebook.
