Doug Yeoman’s joined Rockabilly Greg “In the Flamingo Lounge” on May 1, 2023 to talk about his music, his Friends and Heroes project and his love for teaching music to young people to help pass it on for future generations.
Below are images of Doug and a signed Les Paul that he played at special Get Out Your Guitar Day, which was part of the Buffalo Museum of Science’s local guitar exhibit “71Picks”. Doug was able to play the Les Paul and a vintage Fender Telecaster that belong to BMHOF inductee, Michael Hund.



Doug Yeomans honed his craft in the bars and honkytonks of Buffalo New York, being mentored by the best players in the area. His skill set spans many genres ranging from blues, bluegrass, country, folk, rock ‘n roll, jazz, rockabilly and roots. He quickly learned how to adapt his keen musicality, which in turn created a diverse and eclectic music portfolio, highlighting his fierce versatility.
Doug is the premier Flatpicking Guitarist in Western New York. Who has won several awards and recognitions throughout his career. One of the most notable being named Best Guitarist at the WNED Buffalo Niagara Guitar Festival’s North American Rock Guitar Competition and the Sportsmens Americana Music Foundation’s Americana Music Pioneer of the Year in 2019.
